Product Overview
This series is presented by remixer extraordinaire Timothy Allan, whose remixes have reached #1 on the UK dance charts and placed high on US Billboard, DMC and Australia ARIA charts. His remix skills have even landed him a featured spot on an upcoming Madonna production.
The bassline is equally as important as the drums in House Music, and Tim takes you on a journey explaining it all step by step. He also goes over how to make cool synth parts to support your slammin beats and bass. Watch Tim bring the funk in this sub frequency, groove focused series.

Not so good!!
After the first Tutorial of this series, i was a bit disappointed. It should be titled Producing EDM and not House... I had nothing to do with House music specifically...

Response from Customer Service:
I am very sorry you are disappointed with this tutorial. There are other tutorials in this series that you may find more to your liking. I hope you check them out!
Although this tutorial is broad and touches on concepts that can be applied to all electronic music, Timothy uses House as the genre of choice for the series as most of his experience (and several of his awards) are in this style.
But the techniques are solid and can be used for multiple forms of music so upon second look you may find valuable nuggets of wisdom based on Timothy's experience that can be used for a lot of your projects.

Lots of valuable information especially for the beginner-intermediate
This series is part of the 'Producing House with Ableton Live' series. I am going through this series, as I discovered that it contains valuable information in an organised manner which is often not that well explained in these other "how to make this track" courses which you can find all over the internet. This part is about the bass and also a bit about synths. For me that video about 'Matching Kick & Bass' really 'opened doors for me'. I think I am getting to understand how to find a kick and bass that match. I never really knew how to do that. That is just one of the many other videos in which you find this kinde of practical information. Note that this series seems a bit old, it is record in Live 8. Nevertheless, this should not hold you back from watching it because it is all about the concepts and not so much about Live itself. Off course, certain Live elements are mentioned and explained so with the Live 9.7 we have right now it can certainly well be that not everything on the Live 8 tips still holds true. For me that is certainly not a problem, because as I said, it is all about the concepts. Even people using other DAWS like Logic Pro X for example, would still find valuable information in this series. This part of the series I think is mainly targeted at beginner-intermediate producers which know how to operate a DAW, because I assume that an advanced producer already knows how to how to match Kick & Bass? I did not, but I am also just a beginner (though a well informed beginner). Finally, I also start to like the humorous side notes that are present here and there. Certainly not to much, so that it still feels like a serious course but these jokes makes watching it a bit more fun. Unless you know everything already and you are an advanced producer, I can certainly recommend this course.
