Product Overview
iZotope's RX 5 Audio Editor is in a class by itself when it comes to repairing, restoring, and enhancing audio. Likewise, Mike Thornton, Aka MR. Rx It, offers you the most comprehensive video tutorial series available, covering both RX 5 and RX 5 Advanced with a fine toothed comb filter, leaving no aspect of the software unexplored.
Mike begins the series with an overview of what RX 5 has to offer, and general operation tips. After that, the fun begins! The next four videos cover denoising, using the various denoiser modules in RX 5. Mike follows that with a pair of videos on treating distortion, a pair of videos on treating hum and buzz, a pair of videos on using the Spectral Repair module, and a pair of videos on how to restore vinyl and tape material.
Mike then spends seven videos covering specific modules in RX 5: Deverb, Deplosive, Instant Process, Leveler, Loudness, EQ Match, Ambient Match, and Module Chain. Mike then switches gears to demonstrate how you can use RX Connect to transfer clips between Pro Tools and RX 5.
He also goes over the 4 audio repair plug-ins included with the RX Plug-in pack.
Mike finishes the series with 11 more videos on the individual modules in RX 5 and RX 5 Advanced including Deconstruct, Gain, EQ, Channel Operations, Spectrum Analyzer, Plug-in Hosting module, Resample, Dither, and Signal Generator.

Interesting
I´ve been using RX5 (6) for quite some time and I´ m roughly half way through the videos. I should have invested in this training video earlier. I would have liked to go deeper into using the denoiser part, but generally it´s a nice training video which I can recommend. P.s. On a general note I like very much most of the groove video training series I´ve used.

Very Thought out tutorial
This is still my favorite tutorial, the RX6 tutorial is good...but this is the best. I would still watch this one first, the range of examples are more in depth

A very worthy investment in understanding RX5
This course is excellent and I thoroughly recommend it - very clear, well thought out and Mike is a class presenter. I've had RX5 for a while and have been accessing the odd forum or video to try to get the most out of it. In hindsight, that was a time consuming and frustrating approach which has not achieved what I'd been aiming for. Now, working my way through this course I can see how its logical, structured approach and clear presentation by an obvious master will ultimately give me the best chance to truly understand this complex tool. Finally I think I'm getting a solid level of proficiency.

Excellent Tutorials on Very Powerful Software
I bought these tutorials a few weeks ago, and although I haven't finished watching all of them, they are excellent. Even for someone like myself who is not only NOT a professional sound engineer, but one who has never even messed with this sort of thing. I want to clean up some recordings our band made back in the late '60's. I figured iZotope was the way to go, and I liked what I read about RX5. The tutorials have sold me. This is the product I want. This package of tutorials however, is a complete necessity, as I have no idea how to use this software. So even as an inexperienced individual, I feel confident enough now to buy RX5 Advanced and start experimenting and learning. If you have any idea at all about buying iZotope RX 5 products, get these tutorials if you do not know your way around audio repair software. You will not be sorry. They are geared a bit more for those who have used this sort of product, but they are still easily understood by the uninitiated.

Changed My Workflow Completely
Ever since I bought this, I have found numerous ways for RX 5 Advanced to help in many stages of my workflow. It can seemingly do everything from editing out pops and clicks in dialog, removing hums background noise, isolating background noise and bringing it back in as a layer in a final mix (thanks a million for Ambience Match), to exporting an Excel-style document to give with deliverables to a post-production team. Absolutely incredible. This product makes it possible to put off buying Pro Tools for a few years. I tell every Audiobook narrator I know: this is built for you.
