Good level of detail, lots of tricks and tips exposed.

Instructor does a good job of covering all the features. I watched the course for review, as I have used the console before. I was pleasantly surprised that learned a lot of new shortcuts and additional functionality I didn't know existed..

Lacking Useful Info

Like others have already said, I have seen this info explained better on Youtube. This video is slow and redundant. What I really was hoping for was routing info ...like how do you integrate outboard gear? And setting up external clocking. I have a Cranesong HEDD 192 and I'm trying to figure out the best way to integrate it into my set-up?

Response from Customer Service:

Hi and thank you for leaving a review! We really appreciate it. This was produced as a basic guide to the Apollo 2 with basic installation, DAW integration, and routing through simple sends and aux's. I'm happy to add a customer request for an advanced tutorial with topics like integrating outboard gear and external clocking. All the best!

Good for Console 2 - lacking Apollo Twin Console

This is excellent coverage of the Console 2 for the regular Apollo interfaces. I have an Apollo Twin, however, and the software is slightly different. Would have been nice if this had addressed these differences.

1. When did you start dabbling in music?

I started dabbling as a kiddo, beginning with piano at about age 7. My love and appreciation for music only develops and matures as I get older. My main instrument is now guitar, but I have a great love for Wurly and B3.

2. What training have you had?

Mostly studio experience on the audio side of things. In order to get my foot in the door on that kind of experience, I would hang around a studio until they gave me something to do. I knew just enough to run a sound track session one day, and ever since studio work is about all I've done.

3. When did you get into recording?

Around the late 80's as far as dabbling goes. I started to take it serious and realized it was something I wanted to do professionally around college in 1995 back when it was still all about analog tape, patch bays, outboard gear, and signal flow. Still is a great way to learn if you ask me!

4. People you have worked with/for?

Jeremy Camp, Cas Haley, Josh Heinrichs, Greg White, Chip Bricker, Big Karma Records, Easy Star Records, Cedar Rock Studio, SG Studios, Flat Out Studio, S.M.A.R.T. Studios, WTGO Radio, Sweetwater Sound, Klipsch Audio Technologies, and countless incredibly talented artists you may have never heard.

5. Why are you so good at training people?

Because I have four children and a great wife that teaches me (by example) how to teach them. As for Audio, experience in the field is my greatest asset for imparting knowledge.

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by from Missing important chapter All this info is fine but readily available elsewhere. But one thing I can't find anywhere is info on how to set the Apollo/ Console up with a piece of outboard gear like a reverb. I have a Bricasti and I haven't made it work.... That would have made all the difference, it would have made this series stand out. Please add it if you can, it would be a most welcome addition.
