Product Overview
Larry Campbell has played with some of the biggest names in the music business, but he grew up listening to the inspirational songs and dazzling guitar technique of the Rev. Gary Davis.
In this powerful instructional video series, he and Teresa Williams offer dynamic performances of five songs by the legendary master, and then Larry breaks down each one, covering both accompaniment and lead parts for learning players.
Larry gets to the essence of Rev. Davis' unique approach to the guitar. He details the licks and runs, movable chord positions, bass lines, harmonies and complex fingerpicking patterns that have made these five amazing songs touchstones of the blues and folk-gospel revival.
You'll be immersed in a variety of intermediate-to-advanced guitar skills, and will be able to use what you've learned when creating arrangements for other songs in this genre.
Songs demonstrated are Oh Glory, How Happy I Am, Samson and Delilah, I Belong To The Band, Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning, Let Us Get Together.

Advanced guitar playing!
I've taken a live course from Larry before and likely will again, however, this video, although older, is wonderful for hands on review of his teachings. If you don't know about Larry, he is amongst the best ever guitarists and a great teacher. Not for a beginner, but intermediate to advanced will learn from Larry.
