A few good tips
I'm picking up a few good tips here and there. I do wish however that the examples of some of the settings and articulations were better musically and more "real world." Just tapping a key a few times while rotating through expression, attack, etc. doesn't demonstrate as well as some complete phrases that utilize these settings.

Mr Lendrum was out of his field drum.
Unfortunately Mr Lendrum was out of his league in this offering with a distinctly amateur's understanding of orchestration coupled with what is considered to be considered the cinderella of orchestral libraries. Nevertheless it was his technical understanding of controller manipulation and FX which kept my attention to the end. His self aggrandisement remarks coupled with his over use of adjectives simply made me cringe when listening to his final orchestral "composite". It's ok that Mr Lendrum is neither an orchestrator nor a composer, but Groove3 (and NI) would better employ his technical expertise in areas that he himself is comfortable with. Mr Lendrum would make an excellent politician or at least a script writer for such, but orchestral libraries are not his forte. I gave it 2.5 stars simply for indirectly helping me understand the parameters of my R4 reverb plugin!

I learned a great deal about how to set up NI Symphony Series. I was also impressed with the ease of using Logic Pro to compose in.

Very interesting course.
NI Symphony Series rocks! (Or at least orchestrates) - and this tutorial series puts you in the driving seat. Even if you perhaps don't have any desires to compose large orchestral pieces, (like me), this series of videos still contains much of interest. And, perhaps, if you do, even more so! I am in the former category, no Beethoven or Mozart here, but I do I like the sound of certain Orchestral sounds with an acoustic guitar and a vocal, very much indeed. Very interesting course. Thoroughly enjoyable and well presented.

This series really helped bring this library to life for me and showed me a handful of things that I didn't know about this series that I was immediately able to put to use.

Very, very helpful
The course starts with an excellent and thorough introduction using the String ensemble. He then goes through the other ensembles explaining the differences. There is some repetition regarding the dynamics, articulations and mixer sections though this is a very minor criticism. The remaining videos give an excellent demonstration of composing a piece starting with instruments from the string ensemble and subsequently adding instruments from the remaining ensembles. I found these videos to be particularly useful and I highly recommend buying this course. I hope that something more advanced will soon be available.
