Having all the tracks while you mix along with Kenny is Brilliant!!
As usual Kenny is Awesome! Such a brilliant resource for the Reaper community. His clear explanations of what he is hearing in the mix and then walking you through each detail, step by minute step is going to make mixing a lot easier for a lot of people. Also, thanks Kenny for NOT using a bunch of fancy plugins but rather showing people all you need are the basics. Oh and a shoutout to the writer/arranger of Hair Down. It's a pleasure to mix something where all the tracks are actually adding something to the mix.

Interesting techniques...but some of them are very iffy.
I generally like all of the tutorials by Kenny, but this is my least favorite. First, I definitely would NOT start a mix using 4 compressors on the main bus. That seems a bit like choosing spices for a dish you're cooking, before you know what's for dinner. (Yes, I know that he worked on a rough mix first...but still!) Also, there's some artificial noise in the mix , which is intentional, for effect, in the song. However, this noise really ruins the ability to truly assess the effect of the plugins being used on MANY occasions. Sorry Kenny- I think you're great, usually, but there's a lot here that I can't buy in to.

Response from Customer Service:
I am very sorry you did not agree with all of the techniques in this tutorial but that is the purpose of our different mix videos. They will show paths and techniques that you may not have thought of or use in your own mixes. Over time, you may decide to try some of these ideas and change your own mixing style!

Awesome Tutorial by Kenny!
As always with Kenny Gioia's other instruction, if you are a Reaper user or want to try and get to know what Reaper has to offer compared to other DAWs, I do not think there is any better instruction out there. But that is not all you get. Its a whole mindset about how to mix in general. Mixbus compression, automation, metering, its all in here... Kenny is awesome...
