Product Overview
Miroslav Philharmonik has carved a niche for itself in the crowded landscape of orchestral libraries by offering sounds focusing on emotional character. In this info-packed tutorial series, studio expert Eli Krantzberg demonstrates how to pull every last nuance out of this impressive virtual string instrument.
Beginning with the interface, Eli shows you around the Play, Mix, Edit, Macro, and FX Tabs and explains what they all do. Then he explores how to Browse, Load, and Record Multi-Articulation Key Switch Instruments. This leads directly into a video on how to work with Multis.
Eli then tackles how to Mix in the Virtual Box using Philharmonik 2’s Internal Effects exclusively in one video, and then gives you strategies for Mixing in your DAW of choice. Philharmonik 2 can also be used in a live context. Eli demonstrates how to work with Patterns to set up Note Triggers, and how to use the Live Tab to Create Set Lists that contain multiple songs consisting of different Multis.
The next group of video tutorials explore editing in Philharmonik 2, and you’ll discover how to use the Part Strip on the Edit Page to Edit Part-Based Polyphony, Transposition, Note Range, and in-depth Instrument Editing. Moving on you’ll learn to use the Sample Strip Functions, Velocity Strip, Velocity to Filter functions, and the Envelope Section.
Finally, the series concludes with how to Customize the Built-In Macro Controls, Strategies for Using MIDI, and more. Super stoked there was a tutorial, and by EK to boot!
Miroslav's GUI caught my eye the month or so I was researching various orchestral plugins. So stoked it was EK to do the breakdown of this one. Man, I even got it all going with Ableton from watching how this tutorial did it in Logic. Bravo!

Helped me get started with the plugin. Eli really knows his stuff!
Eli is a pretty good teacher, but I wish he would have gone into more detail with this plugin. There are areas where more depth would have been very helpful. Some people like myself are just beginning to learn about & use orchestral instruments, and can use a bit more info about the general subject of these instruments. Still, it's a very helpful video series!

Just the help I needed!
I had purchased MP2 but couldn't figure out how to use it, let alone, get the most out of it (the IK user manual sucks). The videos of Groove3 provided exactly the help I needed! The videos are well produced, in depth and easy to follow. I love the fact I can go back and review the videos as a group or just the ones I need. The products Groove3 offers are fairly priced and well worth the investment!

Good, okay, it will suffice
I am not familiar with working with DAWs yet, and would have appreciated a little more detail - specifically with Logic Pro and it's integration with MP2. Perhaps in another more advanced tutorial? Also, there were buttons, drop-downs that were out of the frame - again, with more familiarity with the UI (which he obviously had) that would have been find; but not for a rank beginner, like me.
Response from Customer Service:
If you need help with DAW's like Logic Pro, we absolutely have tutorials dedicated to teaching you the ins and outs. Check out Logic Pro Explained as that will be a great start.
I'm sorry you lowered your rating because of the lack of Logic training in this tutorial but we have an entire Logic page for you to check out and learn everything you can about the DAW.
Enjoy!
