I really learned something today

I have watched a lot of Melodyne Tutorials, including the Celemony videos, but none have made the connection to doing actual work with it like this course has. All the tips and tricks are super easy to follow and incredibly useful. Just this course alone was worth the subscription.

Execellent Info

the one thing I would like to get from one of these Melodyne tutorials, is the ability to to ask questions. For instance, I do not see how the scroll to host works in Pro Tools. If I use the playhead in Melodyne it only plays Melodyne, Is there a way within Melodyne to scroll Melodyne with the host?

Patrick Coffin first picked up a guitar at age 11 and has since spent countless hours refining his musicianship and skills in both the creative and the technical aspects of recording. Patrick earned an associate degree in Classical Guitar Performance in 2007, and he began a sound design position in the video game industry shortly after. He spent several years taking courses in sound recording at Brigham Young University while working on-campus audio production jobs. Since then, Patrick has worked in various production roles: Studio Producer and Engineer, Podcast/Short Film Sound Designer and Mixer, Field Audio Recorder, Live Sound Engineer, and Music Video Producer and Post-Production Engineer. In 2013 Patrick co-founded the artist development company Refinement Records, where young musicians developed a strong performing, song writing, and production foundation. As Head of Production he worked with many clients to coach them in writing, recording, mixing, mastering, and marketing their music. He also oversaw video production and live performances for the company. This role was the perfect opportunity to develop and refine both effective teaching skills and production methods. In recent years, Patrick has worked with Mudcat Studios engineering and producing for bands in northern Utah, as well as audio capturing and editing productions for The Professor of Rock. He also founded production company Mighty Happy Crew—a group of artists across the country who work together to create positive music and videos to “Spread the Happy.” In heading this project, Patrick has assisted many musicians in setting up home studios and taught them the basics of recording so they can be self-reliant and productive. Patrick feels truly blessed to live a life filled with music and creativity—he is excited for every opportunity to share what he has learned along the way.
