Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Excellent, lots of points that piqued my interest! As someone who started in the 1980s with Juno and Yamaha hardware synths, despite having embraced software synthesisers I still have a natural tendency to limit my sound design to standard features as though still limited by the early hardware. This course has led me through some parts of contemporary synthesisers that I wouldn't normally use, in fact, Massive-X is not one of my goto synths although it might well have become so. Would love to see Thomas do a sound-design course purely on 'exotic' or 'unusual' patches which make full use of this kind of advanced capabilities in contemporary software synths. There is a lot of stuff out there on various sites (and Groove3) on recreating 1980s vintage sounds, I know how to do that, my challenge is breaking out of that box!

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Super helpful explanations to make your own patches This was an awesome tutorial! He explains why he modulates certain things and what the effects are supposed to do for the patches. And then has great examples of how to use those sounds. I only wish there was more!

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Excellent course. The teacher gives very precise yet deep explanations on how he creates the sound, giving us insights of how the inner mechanics of Massive X works, while staying always on point with the tutorial. The pace is perfect, allowing you to follow in real time with a massive x instance aside, sometimes just pause the video to process the technical explanations. That was a very interesting course, I learned a lot about Massive X.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Excellent Presentation I have only one recommendation. I think thatThomas speaks just a little to fast. If he could just speak a little more slowly it would make his presentation absolutely perfect.
