A big picture look at KONTOUR. Scottie will go over the basic interface and it's synth engine and get you starting making music right away with the built in presets.
Let's take a look at View A. Here we can modify a preset (or any sound) using some predefined controls. We'll utilize the Macros, Motion and Effects to sculpt and personalize sounds.
View B is where everything happens. Here we can access all the parameters of the synth and assign them to multiple destinations for control and performance.
The Noise Makers13:02
The two Oscillators are responsible for all sound generation. They can be distorted with the Shapers or modulated to create very complex waveforms.
Now we can sculpt the sound using the two built in filters in a variety of ways. We'll start with a very interesting Comb Filter and finish with a State Variable Filter.
The next section includes the Envelopes. Here we can change how the synth feels. The envelopes are a very important part of the sound design process.
KONTOUR has some crazy interesting ways it routes audio. We can sum from various different modules and we can reintroduce audio back into the signal path creating a feedback loop.
We have the standard effects such as distortion, reverb and delay. There are also some unique effects which we will go over in more depth.
Finally let's look at how we can make KONTOUR playable through mapping and assigning. We can also record the movement of parameters to create a custom LFO.
Nothing sounds quite like Native Instrument's high octane phase modulation software instrument KONTOUR, and nobody can demystify it the way synthesizer wizard Scottie Dugan can!
Scottie starts with a big picture look at what KONTOUR is and what it can do, going over the basics of its powerful Synthesizer Engine and Presets. From there, he takes you step by step through the Basic Controls and explores both interface views, View A and View B.
Next, Scottie dives into the nitty gritty of the instrument, teaching you how to get the most out of KONTOUR's two Oscillators and two built-in Filters. That leads into the next video about the powerful Envelopes that can change the entire feel of the synthesizer.
You'll then see how to set up some truly mind-bending routings in the Mix Busses and put the finishing touches on your tone with its powerful Effects Module. Finally, the series ends with a video on how to use Parameter Mapping and Assignments to make KONTOUR a flexible live performance instrument.
If you're a brand new or experienced user of KONTOUR, watch "KONTOUR Explained" and get the most out of this creative software instrument today!

everything is covered with this in depht tutorial quite well and everything is well explained. the only missing part is a bit of sound design examples e.g. how to make a distorted organ sound or how to make a growling bass, not only to come to a decision, if this synth is the right choice, but also as a trigger for own tweakings.
