Joe Pass Video

I have been a big fan of Joe Pass for decades. I have purchased many books claiming to teach the Joe Pass technique. I was excited to find The Blue Side of Jazz on Groove 3. Within only a few minutes of ordering it, I noticed the exact same video is on YouTube for free. The content of the video is no better than the content of the books. There is little educational value to this video. While there is a number indicating that each lick he plays is a new line, there is no guidance of what he is playing. Very disappointing that the content is so weak and that the video is available free on YouTube. I realize this is not Groove3 fault and feel badly for Groove3 for the damage this activity does to the music business. However, this video is clearly very dated, has no real educational value, and besides seeing Joe Pass perform, not sure there is any real commercial value to this video. Free would be the right price. Groove3 should be more involved in quality control. This video was a big nothing when it was created.
