John's guitar can be heard accompanying many top Irish artists and on film and TV soundtracks such as "The Brothers McMullin" and "Out of Ireland."

He toured and recorded for many years as a member of the highly acclaimed group Solas, whose first Shanachie recording received the 1996 Naird Award for best Celtic release. John currently performs regularly with Tim O'Brien, Alison Brown, Cathie Ryan, Kate Rusby, John Williams and Liz Carroll.
