    Creating Drum Patterns

In this video, we take a look at selecting and sequencing drums to build a few blocks as a base for our song.

  • image description 10:32

    Creating Melody Patterns

Here we begin to make a chord progression for our song to follow, as well as a bit of sound design in making some synth instruments for bass, chords, and an arpeggio.

  • image description 12:36

    Shaping Sound in the Mixer

Now we take our raw sounds and refine them a bit so that they will play nice with each other when mixed together.

    Building a Song Structure

See how to shape the melodies into a real song structure, and build a few more patterns and make this song unique and catchy.

    Layering the Overall Sound

In this video we’ll fill out our sound so that it’s big, fat, and rich with sonic character.

  • image description 13:55

Adding Character with Effects & Automation

Here we make our song breathe with life by adding filters and other effects, as well as automating parameters.

  • image description 5:44

    Polishing & Filling Up

With the new space cleared up by our filtering and mixing, we can add a few more touches to make our song really pop, like a synth solo!

  • image description 14:38

    Pushing Forward with Transition Effects

Here we get each part sewn together a bit more by adding effects and "whooshes" to make transitions build and take you through the song.

    A Few Finishing Touches

We're getting there! Just to make sure everything is in the best shape we can make it, we’ll go over a few tweaks, like final compression.

  • image description 16:25

    Mastering & Exporting

Let's make this track loud and proud for the world to enjoy, then get it exported so we can listen and share anywhere with anyone!

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Very nice course...! It is very inspirational to follow this course and see how a song is actually made from start to finish including some (stock plugin) mastering in FL Studio. I liked it very much and I hope the author will make more courses available about Fl Studio (version 20?!) and music production in general. Thanks a lot!

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Wow Golden Nugets Really you laid out so much in this tutorial. Literally tons of golden nuggets. What I liked about it is that you threw out some important points (without) going into detail this way I was able to make notes as you eloquently show us the procedure of making a song from beginning to end. (not making it complicated). I was able to outline it as you were moving along. Now I am able to look at the outline and study it in detail and stop to learn exactly what you pointed out through research and searching tutorials on that subject and part. This is the first FL Studio video tutorial I have ever really understood. You actually maid my membership worth every penny paid. Bottom line you kept it understandable and kept my attention. Amen Thank you Sir for your time and expertise..... Dave

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by from Great hands-on video tutorial! Tyler builds a nice song from scratch using only FL Studio stock plugins. He has an excellent pace and I am learning a lot from his workflow - the shortcuts he's using to keep the track organized and tidy is excellent. Great video, great teacher, thank you!

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by from Awesome way to start compleating ideas. The tutorial is really good and helpful. Although I only have 1 complain. And that is that after the chapter 5 and over he starts going too fast, and not explaining so much in detail as he does in the first chapters. Other than that I'm really happy with the workflow and content of the tutorial.
