Very helpful: Very useful, multiple great ideas, explanations to the point.

This is a great tutorial. It shows great ideas for enhancing the realism of MIDI-horns and the explanations are to the point. Each video is short (around 6 minutes) and the overall tutorial is also quite short, as there are no fillers. The musical examples are great. I just wish the other tutorial on arranging horns (different instructor) had a similar quality, which it sadly hasn't. Would gladly watch more tutorials from this instructor.

Excellent course.

This is the kind of information that the makers of virtual instruments ought to include, but never do. This course is very in-depth and will improve the virtual brass performances for anyone who wants to put in the time and effort. That part - the elbow grease - isn't included. :)

Great instruction for non-horn playing guitarists

Adding MIDI horns from a keyboard to your tracks really sounds unrealistic. This course shows you all of the dynamics of horns. Whether its the adjusting the rise and decay, the slightly 'before the bar' attack, or other nuances that if applied to the playing/recording, you can have realistic sounding MIDI horns!

1. When did you start dabbling in music?

I have been playing music for 35 years since I was 6 years old. I play Piano, Synth, Guitar, and program Drums.

2. What training have you had?

I have attended training workshops for the last 15 years at the music stores I worked for, as well as several offsite training centers in LA for major recording companies such as JBL, Focusrite, Apogee, and Roland.

3. When did you get into recording?

I got my first 4 track recorder at the age of 14 and have been very interested since then! (25 years ago)

4. People you have worked with/for?

I have worked with several artists including The Hawthorne Effect, The Morning Stares, Giovanni James, and worked on musical projects for Microjams, WGN and the Chicago Blackhawks, Nike, Harpo Productions and Warner Chappell Productions.

5. Why are you so good at training people?

Since I was a young kid, I always liked to take things apart and figure out what made them tick so to speak. I like to do the same with software and really learn how to get the most out of it. I also really enjoy being able to use my musical abilities to help inspire those who are just starting their musical journey, as I have really enjoyed mine so far.
