The Samba Pt. 39:18
We explore some grooves being played in odd meters like 3/4 or 7/4 and learn how to count in these signatures. Maria unleashes some great advice that will help you practice and construct your coordination.
Different from the Samba, the Baiao shares some of the same guidelines and time signatures. We jump into the fast paced patterns and quickly learn how to understand them. We also get the band on this one as they demonstrate the places the Baiao will go.
The Partido Alto10:29
This is sometimes referred to as "Funk-Samba". The Partrido Alto is sometimes played as an intro part to a song or a bridge and Maria shows us how to bounce between the styles and then return to your original rhythm. We also get one more performance by the whole band.
