Nathan begins by welcoming you and asking the important questions about live sound, then reveals some of the challenges and differences in live sound compared to studio work.
Next, Nathan starts at the beginning, covering how to compute your exact power needs for a gig, and then communicate it to the venue, so they can provide adequate power and not have any blow outs!

This was Extremely Helpful!
Would definitely recommend this to someone who is just a "newbee" at P.A. Differentiation between live and studio was invaluable! Made me forget about stereo and gave me a logical plan in dealing with new situations in set up! Used both analogue and digital in the explanations. Thanks heaps to the guys who produced this! Really appreciated!

Helpful video, definitely worth a watch for basic outlines
This video helped me, I would have liked to see more on bus architecture use, for sending level to monitor and mixing in groups when available to help keep a quicker control over the mix once chaos starts. Also would have been nice to talk about how saved scenes could translate and be refined for ease of set up for future gigs, approaches and so on. maybe a follow up series?

Excellent!
Great info, a mine of gold right here !! He put emphasis on the objective of a live sound set up, that is to get an even sound on the room and not a stereo mix for a few ones

Good and basic.
Maybe a little more on vocal monitors. Sounded good to the artist in the beginning, then during the show the trim had to be brought down some. The artist complains loosing monitor some. The problem stems from the artist not giving an appropriate vocal level during song check.

There are some really good tips in this course and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in live sound reinforcement especially since this is one of the very few courses that covers this topic.

An excellent series
Technically sound but approachable and not overwhelming. I found it very useful to me as a one man band. I assume it would also be very useful for bands where a band member or friend is mixing in house.
