    The traditional Mozambique was a form of carnival music that evolved from conga Cuban rhythmic styles. We approach these rhythms from several angles and work the ride cymbal in. Maria also talks a bit more about time signatures like 3/2 and 2/3 and clave direction and signs off with another great performance with the band.

Maria has studied drumset and percussion with Alex Acuna, Steve Houghton, Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Joey Baron, Casey Scheuerell, Alan Dawson, and many others.
