Glossary

Write for a horn section! In this book, you will learn how to add saxophones and brass to a rhythm section ensemble, as well as learn the capabilities and characteristics of the most common instruments, and how to order them effectively.

Plus, you'll also learn the different roles that a horn section can serve in your ensemble.

To better help you in your learning, online audio tracks demonstrate the key concepts, as exemplified in a complete score!

Practical Clear and Useful

I study arranging through the years and never got a chance to practice. Nowadays with Sibelius and VEPro 6 and VI and the knowledge presented I am able to write and experiment and explore the concepts. Downloaded the book through Amazon too.

Good book but annoying typo

I have this book on kindle. I was hoping they had fixed this amateurish ridiculous typo that I also reported in a review on for kindle. But the typo is here too. Everytime the “b” (for flat) is suppose to be there it has a “E” instead. Trumpet in BE instead of Trumpet in Bb. Sax in EE instead of Eb etc. I can get my head around it but come on Groove 3 get them to fix this in thei otherwise excellent book.

I am a: Professional, Musician
