In this tutorial we're introduced to EZMix 2 and how it can be used to produce and mix faster, with a wide range of options.
Before digging in, Kenny runs through all of the settings and preferences, and how the browsing filters make large amounts of presets manageable.
Kenny starts off with the Kick Drum and all of the varying presets that allow him to mold the tone of the drum for any specific musical situation. Whether it be EQ, compression, transient adjustment or ambiance from reverb, it's all adjustable.
Next up is the Snare Drum. Like the Kick, EZmix 2 comes with a ton of presets that work specifically for the Snare Drum. In this tutorial Kenny goes through them and crafts killer Snare Drum sounds instantly before your very eyes.
In the this video, Kenny again goes through all of the specific presets and their adjustments focusing on Gates, Compression and EQ adjustments, making for some killer sounding Toms.
Overhead and Room Mics6:08

Drum Buss and Reverb8:34
Finally, watch Kenny buss all of the drum tracks together and again treat them with specialized presets for the task, as well as apply light EQ and Compression Effects to really make the drums pop.
One of the more powerful features in EZmix 2 is it's ability to recreate the sounds of real amplifiers using just direct guitar recordings. This really shines on Bass as you can eliminate your amps while still having dozens and dozens of choices to nail that perfect Bass sound.
Next, Kenny dives into Guitars. Discover all of the great amp choices EZmix 2 offers and see how to use them to make your guitar tracks sit perfectly in your mix.
EZmix 2 also includes many Keyboard presets that are specially designed for this purpose. Whether we want brighter Pianos, growlier Organs or more lush Strings, this video shows you just how to do it.
Many presets in EZmix 2 are titled Miscellaneous as they have many functions and can be used on just about any source, creatively or musically. In this video, Kenny goes through all of them and offers ideas on their possibilities and power.
One of the hardest instruments to record and get right in the mix are Vocals. In this tutorial, Kenny reveals exactly how to make your Vocals sing, using EQ, Compression, De-Essers, Reverb and Delay. Additionally, using EZmix 2 as an Effect Return is also showcased.
Tying it all together are the Master Presets that are designed to be inserted right on your Master 2 Buss Output. This can be tricky, but the presets and their parameter adjustments take all the guess work out of the complicated process. Loudness and Limiting are also discussed in full detail.
Extra Preset Paks3:54
EZmix 2 is all about presets. In these tutorials Kenny discusses exactly how to get the most out of each one, but at some point, you're going to want more. In this video Kenny features a couple of Extra Paks and how to utilize them to their fullest potential.
