Thought provoking stuff for musicians

As a pro musician, I certainly can appreciate his background and deeper understanding. No doubt he had great schooling in his life- I'm just a bit perplexed at the musical examples he gives. It may have been more useful to have more varied examples, and more examples in general. Still, I really love what he has to say, especially about practicing and improving one's ear, taking it more seriously, and not being afraid of gaining KNOWLEDGE. For this I give 5 stars. I would have liked to see (or be directed to) more exercises, guided exercises, mini-etudes in shapes (since that's the title), and improvising with them more. That being said, if you are someone who wants to take it to a whole different level, and are tired of just power chords...heh, this is a great place to start.
