I had been banging my head on the desk trying to remember how to do some routing and export midi with strike 2.0 , found Russ's great course. He explains things so well and I am flying again with Strike after this refresh.
Russ Hughes is one of a few core, top tier, no nonsense music software educators that is consistently excellent. He's thorough, comprehensive and very clear and knows exactly what he's talking about. When I come to Groove3 to learn something, I'm happy to discover the course I need was created by this guy. This Strike 2 course is excellent as always. After the first movie I already have a pretty good idea how to use this. The following videos supply the depth.

Strike 2 has no peer in the world of Drum Machine Software, and with the Groove3 tutorials I'm able to get under the hood of the software in such a way that I could not do on my own!! These tutorials has opened up the program enabling me to get the most out of it, and I'm only 1/3 of the way through them. Because of the amount of detail there is no way for me to absorb all of the info in one pass. So I'm already planning to go through the tutorials more than once in order to feel like I'm in any way mastering the complexity of Strike 2. It is after all a very powerful program, and the Groove3 Tutorials are the closest I've found to a master class on Strike 2. One suggestion I have is to perhaps offer a few master classes on Strike 2 for those of us who really do seek a Master level of knowledge in working with this program? I'm sure you will because Groove3 tutorials are the MOST thorough tutorials I have found in the world of Professional Audio Production. Keep up the good work Groove 3!!

While Russ Hughes creates great tutorials it should be updated to show if/or how Strike 2 can incorporate Track Freeze which became available with Pro Tools 12. That was one of the primary functions I wanted to learn to use with Strike.
This tutorial digs deeply into the many and flexible abilities of the Strike drum software. Varied kits and import xapability make the kits practically unlimited. There are many ways to play parts in, including having more than one part and more than one kit in the same song. Russ shows the awesome and powerful mixing capabilities as well as the software's routing flexibility which allows a stereo track import into the daw or a track by track export allowing additional tweaking within the daw.
I got Strike 2 as part of a bundle. I wasn't sure how it worked or how to use the advanced features. This video training answered all my questions and even gave me ideas!

Strike 2 is a deep programme: this is an excellent way to become more familiar with it sooner rather than later.
