Intro & Song Playthrough (02:21) - In the first video, Thomas introduces the course and plays through the song that we will be creating in the following videos.
Main Drums (10:03) - We start building out the track by making a kick, clap, and percussion pattern. This will be used to give the song a strong rhythmic foundation so that the whole track has a nice groove.
Drum Mixing (15:56) - Next, we take a look at how to mix our drums so they sound nice and filled out. This part is essential to creating a great foundation for our tech house song.
Low Bass & Texture Bass (15:39) - Next, we create a groovy synth bass from scratch to fill out the main sections, while a second bass is used as a fill element to create more variation.
Lead Synth (09:59) - Thomas shows how to make a lead synth that is used to fill out the midrange of the production.
Vocal Chops (09:27) - Next, we take a look at adding vocal stabs to the song and see how they can provide a melodic hook for the chorus.
Synth Pad (11:48) - Here, Thomas shows how to develop a synth pad to fill up the main section of the song and later be used in the breakdown to provide some melody.
Arrangement & Final Adjustments (10:54) - To wrap up the course, we arrange out the song. This video also shows how to add effects and some final master adjustments to help round out the production.
