Yum Audio Slap Explained

In this in-depth Yum Audio Slap video course, music production guru Thomas Cochran details for you how to process your electronic drums in style with Yum Audio's Slap plugin - a program dedicated to easy drum enhancement or replacement. You'll learn how to make effective use of all six powerful modules in Slap (Shape, Fat, Clap, Sub, Spray, and Clip), how to use other helpful tools like the Visualizer and Click Replacer, and more. These videos are for new Slap users.

Introduction
Presets & Visualizer (11:17) - Thomas introduces the course and shows how to load and save presets. This video also shows off the Visualizer and how it displays what's happening with the samples.
Click Replacer (13:36) - Discover how the Click Replacer is used to enhance the transients of drum sounds. This module can also be used creatively through adding your own sample material.
Slap FX Modules
Shape (08:06) - This module is used to add snap to any drum sound. It works in a similar way to a transient shaper and is a great way to quickly shape drums without the need for compression.
Fat (07:45) - The Fat module uses multi-band compression and EQ to add presence and body to drum sounds.
Clap (07:26) - Learn how to add synthesized noise claps to any incoming audio source. This effect can be used creatively for adding all sorts of interesting effects to various loops and 808 sounds.
Sub (09:22) - The Sub module lets you add synthesized low frequency tones to your drum sounds. This can be used to enhance kicks that need additional low end, for example.
Spray (08:24) - Next we look at the Spray module, which adds subtle reverbs to your drum sounds. It's great for adding ambience to drum sounds without washing out the transients.
Clip (08:59) - Thomas shows off the Clip module and demonstrates how it's used to add different types of distortion to your drum sounds. This can be used for either subtle enhancement or heavy distortion effects.
Tone & Master Controls (08:59) - Learn to use the individual controls on Slap - the tone and master controls - which are used for final adjustments on your drum sounds.
Example Patches
Enhancing a Percussion Loop (11:59) - To wrap up the course, Thomas shows how to use multiple different sections of the plugin to make a simple percussion loop sound much snappier and fuller.
