RipX DeepAudio Explained

Audio separation software has come a long way, enabling you to separate different elements in a stereo track, removing or extracting the different instruments and sounds. It's also great for repairing sounds and instrument's pitch and timing! Join Groove3 instructor Larry Holcombe for a thorough look at such a product: RipX DeepAudio. In this 105-minute RipX video course, you'll learn all you need to know about manipulating audio signals - not only in a restorative or corrective sense, but also in musical, creative ways as well! These videos are for new RipX DeepAudio users.

Videos
Introduction & Creating Ripped Files (09:47) - In this first video, we discuss the package options available and demonstrate how to extract stems and open files. We also explore creating stems versus having the flexibility of editing the rip. Finally, we discuss exporting files.
Cursor, Note, & Time Selections (09:09) - Learn the process for selecting, deleting, cutting time, and adding audio effects next. This allows us to manipulate the ripped audio in different ways. We also cover some of the playback options.
Editing Pitch (07:07) - Explore the different ways in which we can manipulate the pitch of individual notes and parts. We also detect and manually change keys, both globally and over the duration of an arrangement.
Editing Rhythm (07:24) - Next up, we look at different methods for changing up rhythm and groove within parts and also changing the tempo of our audio.
Manipulating Layers & Playback Options (09:23) - In this video, we cover rebalancing audio layers of an arrangement and adding EQ and panning. We also outline the ways in which we can control playback, including selecting and playing back loops. Importantly, we finish off by demonstrating how to manipulate and create layers to fix wrongly assigned parts.
Audioshop Tools (11:52) - Discover the uses of the Audioshop tools, which allow us to achieve a variety of different functions, including deleting, splitting, joining, drawing, and even replacing sound!
Advanced Editing Techniques (15:31) - We create chords from individual notes and edit harmonics using the Harmonic Editor next by deleting and drawing partials and non-pitched information. This allows for a wide range of creative effects. We also create a Shepard tone to finish.
Mapping Options (04:08) - Learn how to add swing, panning, and volume changes over time.
Clean & Repair Menu (08:31) - This video covers the cleaning and repair options for removing background noise and even foreground sound. We also cover the removing of low-frequency hum and rumble as well as increasing overtones and the fundamental frequency.
Removing Unwanted Drum Hits (07:10) - In this video, we remove the kick drum and reduce the level of drums in a stereo sample to facilitate the creation of a track. We do this by exporting both the stereo file and individual stems.
Creating Mashups (08:00) - Learn how to combine two ideas next to create a mashup. We also continue on to create a ripple, which acts like automation.
Editing within a DAW (01:19) - Next up, we explain how to use DeepAudio as Logic?s editor of choice.
Creating Harmonies (04:35) - This video focuses on creating harmonies both manually and automatically. These harmonies are then printed and imported into Logic.
Exporting MIDI for Transposition (03:16) - Finally, we create and export a MIDI file, allowing us the flexibility of having the MIDI available for our musical parts.
