Mixing in Dolby Atmos
Starting from a Stereo Mix (05:58) - Watch as a rough stereo mix is set up for mixing in Dolby Atmos format. Multi-Channel Gain and 7.1.2 metering is placed on the master channel strip before the Atmos plug-in for surround bed processing. 7.1.4 level and loudness metering plug-ins are placed post Atmos. Space Designer & Dolby Atmos (05:36) - Discover the B-Format Space Designer presets augmented for Dolby Atmos and see how the enhanced controls affect the spread of the reverb. Side chain compression is set up on the reverb Aux return to create a bloom in the reverb, while the multi-channel gain on the master channel is used to control the level of the overall surround bed tracks.
Multi-Channel Tape Delay (03:59) - Follow along as a rhythmic delay is set up in the left/right mid channels, along with a tight slap on the left/right. Side chain compression is added for a ducking effect before it's sent to the reverb.
