Introduction
Intro & Device Overview (03:05) - This video introduces the course and shows the basic layout and features present on the sampler.
Synth Layout & Features
Audio Algorithms & Sample Editor (11:30) - Here, Thomas covers the different audio time-stretching algorithms and how they affect the audio material in the sampler. You?ll also learn how audio can be loaded and edited via the Sampler Editor Window.
Sample & Pitch Adjustment (08:05) - Discover how audio material can be edited in the sampler. Thomas demonstrates the start position modifiers, pitch shifting, and speed controls.
Devices Modes
Pitch & Slice Mode (05:50) - In the first video on the device modes, you'll learn how the different modes control how audio material is played back. Thomas demonstrates how both the Pitch mode and Slice mode can be used.
Multi Slot & Multi Pitch Mode (07:45) - Explore how the Multi Slot and Multi Pitch mode are used for advanced playback of multiple audio samples from a singular instance of the sampler. The Multi Slot mode lets you play back multiple samples like a drum machine, while the Multi Pitch mode allows you to layer multiple samples on top of one another.
Sound Modifiers & Envelopes
Filter & Amp (07:06) - This video covers the features of the filter section and how it's used to modify the audio material loaded into the sampler. Thomas also discusses the amplifier section in this video.
Filter & Amp Envelopes (07:14) - Next, Thomas illustrates how envelopes are used to modify the filter and amplifier discussed in the previous video. These sections allow for detailed sculpting of your audio material and let you create entirely new sounds.
LFO (06:53) - Learn how the LFO section of the sampler can be used to modify different parameters on the device. You'll also discover how to route the LFO to control different sections.
Effects Section (09:44) - Here, Thomas covers the effects on the sampler and how they can be used to add lo-fi flavor to your patches. This video also shows how to configure the sends.
General Settings & Controls (07:04) - In the last video on the controls of the sampler, you'll explore the general playback and control features like portamento and polyphony.
Demo Patches
Bass (14:24) - In this video, Thomas shows how to make a heavy DnB-inspired Reese bass out of a drum loop. This patch utilizes the advanced features on the sampler and shows how looping can be combined with start position modulation to create textured bass sounds.
Pad (11:07) - Thomas closes out the tutorial by demonstrating how to make a granular pad sound out of horn stab sample.
