Larry Holcombe serves up a detailed series of D16 Phoscyon tutorials! Learn D16 Phoscyon, and how to use it to make realistic Roland TB-303 tracks. These D16 Phoscyon Videos are designed for the new Phoscyon user, as well as for those who want more information on this powerful Phoscyon TB-303 Bassline emulator.

Videos
The GUI (03:20) - In this first video, we outline the different sections of Phoscyon so you start off knowing where everything is located.
Preset Management (03:34) - Now we cover the preset management in the plug-in inducing navigating, saving, re-naming and loading presets.
An Overview of the Work Modes (03:27) - In this video, we explain the Internal/external sequencer, internal/external synchronization and host/native modes which allows us to understand at a basic level how we interact with Phoscyon.
External Mode & The Sound Control Section (10:43) - Discover how to use Phosycon as a sound module including slide times and accents. We also investigate the Sound Control section to better understand sound design with this synth.
Playing Back Patterns in Internal Mode (05:31) - In this video, we use Native and Host mode to play back patterns from the internal sequencer using the GUI keyboard and our MIDI keyboard. We also outline how to chain patterns together.
Editing Existing Patterns (08:48) - Learn the concepts of editing existing patterns from the library, covering the concepts of Note, Gate, Accent and Slide. You?ll also learn about shuffle, changing pattern length, shift and transpose.
Thresholds (06:57) - In this video, we cover the way you can use thresholds to build the complexity or density of attributes, thus creating more interesting patterns.
The Arpeggiator (05:01) - Larry now explains and explores the arpeggiator settings including the Arp Chord section, Arp Modes, Arp Shuffle, Octave Range, Arp Tempo Multiplier and Repeat knobs.
The Distortion Section (05:16) - In this video, we go through the Diode Clipped and Filter/EQ controls of the distortion section. We cover the parameters one by one so you can hear how it affects our sequence.
Randomizing (05:04) - In this video, we cover randomizing attributes, using the threshold controls to determine density of attributes and generating new sequences by changing the Note, Gate, Accent and Slide parameters.
303 Techno Sequence (10:14) - Larry now shows you how to use the External Sequencer to come up with a dirty 303 line for a Techno track. We use Slide and Accent to get this to groove with the track.
Using the Internal Sequencer (09:52) - In this final video, we put Phoscyon through its paces on an analogue disco style track. Rather than using MIDI, we use the internal sequencer to get the right melody, groove and vibe. Finally we automate parameters to get the sound to develop and evolve during the track!
