What is Reason? (02:54) - A Brief Overview - Now explore what exactly Reason is, and take a brief look at its main user interface elements as well as how to navigate the main views using keyboard shortcuts.
Creating Instruments & Browsing Patches (06:24) - In this video, you'll learn the various ways to create instruments in the Rack and Track List, and how to load Presets. In this video you'll learn how Automation can be handled exactly like a MIDI Clip, and how this can be used to creative effect.
Working with Pattern Devices (04:59) - Pattern devices offer an alternative means of sequencing notes in Reason without using MIDI. Here, you'll see how to automate pattern selection on the ReDrum Drum Computer and Matrix Pattern Sequencer.
Working with Players (04:09) - Now learn the basics of Player operation; a new class of device that processes MIDI data in real-time. By the end of this video you'll know how to create, re-arrange and stack Players, as well as how to convert the processed MIDI to Note Clips.
ReGroove (06:25) - Sticking with the theme of MIDI processing, let's look at the ReGroove Mixer and how it can be used to apply non-destructive shuffle and delay to your MIDI clips, as well as extract your own personal groove and playing style into a groove preset that can be applied to any number of channels.
Blocks (05:47) - Blocks offer a fast, streamlined way of arranging your songs. In this video you'll learn how to create, arrange and convert Blocks. You'll also look at mixing and matching Blocks data with sequencer data, to create variations on the fly.
