Introduction (00:37) - Adam welcomes you to the course and gives a preview of what he will be covering.
Interface & Layouts (02:31) - Familiarize yourself with Insight's interface. Explore layouts, global vs meter specific options, and the reset, pause, and continuous calculation buttons.
Loudness & History (09:49) - Adam introduces Short Term vs Integrated vs Momentary LUFS, and shows how these are recorded visually in "History". He then demonstrates an important nuance about the "target" line color, as well as scales, and recommended LUFS levels.
Levels (08:09) - Learn about "True Peak", why it's important, when it might be an issue, and of course, how to work around it. Adam also includes a warning about RMS, scales, and finally, a recommended target "peak".

He also explains the concept, demonstrates it in action, and explores the various nuances of gain structure and processing you need to be aware of.
Spectrum (10:06) - In this video, Adam explores the spectrum analyzer. He first demonstrates the customization options by creating a tonal balance/frequency balance meter. Secondly, "forensic" use case, he uses Spectrum to figure out what was going wrong in a client's piece of audio. The explanation explores a few important principles about frequencies and file types.
Spectrogram (06:39) - Familiarize yourself with the Spectrogram. The first example shows how this can be used to understand the kick/sub bass relationship, and their respective dynamics. Then, to demonstrate seeing multiple sources at once, Adam shows an example using pink noise, to reference the frequency balance, to see how "flat" your audio sounds. Finally, he shows 2D mode, and how best to use it.
