Soundtoys 5 Update Explained

Soundtoys 5 is the defacto standard for high quality, time and harmonic based effects. In these video training tutorials, studio guru Scottie Dugan shows you the new plug-ins, workflow, sonics, and tweakability enhancements made in the newest version of these amazing plug-ins.

The Effect Rack (07:44) - Now let’s zoom in on all the new features of the Effects Rack and how to use them.
Presets (03:29) - Let’s take a look at how to save and recall our presets. Then we will take a look and listen to how The Effect Rack can be previewed and tweaked during the mixing process.
In the Mix (03:53) - I demonstrate a simple song idea and how just a few presets and plugins can completely transform a mix.
Microshift (04:15) - Next up we have the Microshift plug-in. With simple pitch and delay modulation any mono source can be made into a glorious stereo one.
Primal Tap (05:15) - The Primal Tap is modeled after the Lexicon Prime Time and does an amazing job of keeping the quirky character of the original hardware unit.
Tweak Menu (06:20) - Primal Tap has six algorithms that determine how both channels and their feedback circuit interact. There are also options to tweak the modulation, panning, and phase.
Little Altar Boy (06:32) - Little Alter Boy can be used to do simple pitch shifting all the way to transforming a instrument or vocal into something completely different and unrecognizable.
Wrap it Up (02:22) - Let’s take a look at some of the little features and improvements for some of the other plugins. There are some really great tweak menu improvements. My favorite being Tremolator.
