• Introduction (04:19) - What is Discovery pro? Scottie talks about the unique features of this Soft Synth and then introduces the basics, the GUI and show off some presets.

• Oscillators (07:32) - ext up we have the Oscillators. These are one of the main sources of sound. We will take a look and listen to the different waveforms, layer in Oscillator two and check out a few different modes.

• Wave Oscillator (04:22) - This is the second half of our sound source. We can use audio files as sound sources and even load our own. We can also choose between the very simple and pure wave forms we explored in the previous video or make our sound as complex as we can imagine.

• Filters (06:31) - Now onto sculpting our sound. The filter is the next stop after the Oscillators. We can employ the classic Subtractive Synthesis technique of removing information in many different shapes and flavors. Scottie also goes over the ADSR Envelope Generators for both the Amplitude and Filter. This allows us to modulate those parameters by using our keyboard.

• Modulation (05:38) - Now let’s look at different ways we can Modulate or change our sound. This time it’s relative to time or our DAW’s BPM. We will take a look at two LFOs and the Arpeggiator.

• Advanced Modulation (07:31) - Let’s take the Modulation idea one step further. This time with Parameter Morphing and Graphic Envelopes. Both of these techniques give us even more control over Modulating parameters.

• Putting it all Together (11:20) - In this video Scottie explores Layers. Everything we just went over can be multiplied by four. Let’s take a look at how to layer and zone our sound and also jump into Global setting for all layers.

• Sound Design (17:02) - Scottie builds some sounds from the ground up.
