    1. When did you start dabbling in music?

I started playing drums when I was about 7. Why drums? It the only instrument my father doesn't play!

    2. What training have you had?

I studied for a degree in Music and Instrument Technology and since then I have qualified in Pro Tools to 210M and 210P level.

    3. When did you get into recording?

I, like most people started recording school bands on cassette 4 tracks. I then moved to a school with a 8 track open real machine…. Atari and sequencers followed.

    4. People you have worked with/for?

Since leaving university I have worked in many different areas of the music industry. I have built studios and mobile recording systems for Pete Townshend (The Who), Mark "Spike" Stent and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin). I've worked in the pop promo world for 2 years and have been involved in video production for Kylie, Oasis, Radiohead and many others. As professional drummer I have performed with Robbie Williams, Jools Holland and Ant and Dec. I have also toured the world as drummer and musical director for several cruise lines.

    5. Why are you so good at training people?

I believe the key to good training is very simple. Really know your subject matter and be passionate about it. Your passion and enthusiasm will show through and help others to learn.
