Groove 3 video tutorials are the anti-manuals! They are concise, well-paced, clear as cut crystal. The transition from ignorance to creativity is quick and seamless -- gnarly programs that seemed daunting in a 700-pound book are now about as fearsome as a newborn kitten. In the past, I'd learn the nuts-and-bolts basics of powerful platforms like Reason and Logic, then be anxious to start making music. These training videos are the greatest ever...I urge ANYONE, regardless of level of expertise, to purchase these resources! I use Logic, BFD, Pro Tools, Reason, IK Multimedia, Autotune EVO, etc etc, and have gotten more out of your materials than months of books, manuals, competing DVD's etc. "Louisiana Madman" Scott Griggs is the greatest, "non nerd-speak" Logic instructor ever. The diffrence in learing Pro Tools with the Groove 3 videos and the old fasion way of reading the pdf manual is first of all time, but even more important is the fast workflow when studio time is expensive. Even the things you THINK you know can be done in a smoother way with the Groove 3 tutorials. I use it in the studio when I compose with Roy Z or any other artist I write songs with and its also an amazing inspiration source for making your arrangements sound like a million dollar production. Try your best melody or hook, run it through a couple of the techniques in the tutorial and WOW!! A lot of my best songs wouldn´t  be what they are without Groove 3.

I've heard other vendors say "Tough Luck Sucker" which meant I had to eat it. I had to just tell you how much I enjoyed the Studio Secrect DVD with Krish Sharma. Finally someone from behind the scenes comes foward in plain simple to understand language and shares some of the stuido basics and tips with us. I had always wondered "What is all this fuss about Neve Pre-amps?" Now I know! Or, when I get to use a real studio and need to mic up drums, "How do I really do that and do it well?" I hope that Krish and others like him will do more like this. I have encouraged my friends to get this DVD as it is a "must have" for the studio enthusiast. I have just gone through your Pro Tools CD and have to tell you that it is the first Pro Tools tutorial I have encountered which, thankfully, does NOT feel obligated to:

1. Play un-listenable techno-junk music under the voice over, which is usual, but again, thankfully in your case is not
2. Be hideously self-referential and fraught with "nerd-speak" phraseology.

Congratulations. You have a fine product. I especially appreciate the frequent analogies made for the benefit of us oldsters who cut our teeth (and in my case, even acquired my gray hair) in the age of tape.

I especially liked the ones from Scott Griggs, because of his humor, his playful style of explainig stuff which is actually quite complex, but his voice and dialect makes it living, makes it enjoyable to hear and try thins . The videos on Groove3 are absolutely incredibly awesome! I have been messing with Pro Tools for 3 years now and take about 20 weeks of classroom courses BUT can afford to take the sequence of courses to get the knowledge needed for our Home/Project Studio. The biggest help in progressing is the Recording & Mixing Section!!! I’m about halfway through the new Gioia videos. Great stuff!!  It’s wonderful to see Kenny present his magic in an A-to-Z presentation of his method, not just in a “tips and tricks” format. Kenny’s approach that he demonstrates here -- building the programmed drums and percussion with samples in Pro Tools, rather than in Reason or in some other product – “clicks” for me immediately.  I will want to watch these videos several times over to glean every bit of Gioia goodness from them. Give us more Kenny!!!

I received a free week from Sweetwater. I had purchased Pro Tools with Reason, so my comments refer to those online tutorials. Very good tutorials. Breaking them up into short clips is good. The voices were pleasant and I wasn't bored with trivial material. I learned more about Pro tools and Reason through the tutorials than I did referencing the manual and diving in. Saved me a LOT of time. I have a long background in computer music and recording, which is why I decided to comment. EXCELLENT. The Reason tutorial convinced me to upgrade from the adapted version as well!

The videos have been an enormous help to me. I'm a solo artist and have been busy recording my first cd, but I really didn't have much of a clue about how to edit audio. The videos helped me learn how to  and I've gotten quite comfortable editing.

The videos are informative and get straight to the point. Seeing the actual screen and where to click on is helpful to me. That's a huge time saver!!!
